How Halloween in Hoboken works

Where does Hoboken Halloween happen?

Almost entirely on and around Washington Street, between Hoboken Terminal at the south end and 14th Street at the north end. Most venues are within ten minutes of the terminal on foot; The Hoboken Biergarten, uptown on Grand Street, is 20 to 25 minutes.

What is the difference between the bar crawl and the parties?

The bar crawl is one wristband covering multiple bars — 3 PM or 5 PM to 2 AM, depending on the date. A party ticket admits you to a single venue, 9 PM to 2 AM. They are separate tickets, they overlap in the evening, and many people do both.

Is Hoboken Halloween 21+?

Yes. Every event listed here is 21 and over, and valid government-issued photo ID is checked at the door for every guest.

Hoboken Halloween FAQ

When is Halloween celebrated in Hoboken in 2026?

Hoboken celebrates Halloween across three nights in 2026: Saturday October 24, Friday October 30 and Saturday October 31. Halloween itself falls on a Saturday, so October 31 is the busiest night of the three.

What Halloween events are happening in Hoboken in 2026?

There are two kinds of ticketed Halloween events in Hoboken: the Hoboken Halloween Bar Crawl, which is one wristband across multiple Washington Street bars, and single-venue Halloween parties at Madd Hatter, Texas Arizona, River Street Garage, Green Rock and The Hoboken Biergarten.

Is Hoboken Halloween 21+?

Yes. Every event listed on this site is 21 and over, and valid government-issued photo ID is checked at the door for every guest. A photo of your ID is not accepted.

Are costumes required?

Costumes are not required but nearly everyone wears one. Full-face masks and prop weapons are refused at the door, and there is no costume storage at any venue.

How do I get to Hoboken from Manhattan?

Take the PATH train to Hoboken Terminal from 33rd Street, Christopher Street, 9th Street, 14th Street or 23rd Street. The ride is about 10 to 20 minutes and the terminal is at the south end of Washington Street, within walking distance of every venue on this site.

Where should I stay for Hoboken Halloween?

Most visitors stay in Hoboken or in Jersey City near a PATH station, both of which put you within a short train ride or walk of Washington Street. Manhattan hotels also work — the PATH runs overnight on weekends.

Do tickets sell out?

Halloween night, October 31, sells out first every year and is usually the only date that sells out completely. October 24 and October 30 typically have availability closer to the date, but at higher prices.

Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are non-refundable. Each night is sold separately, so a ticket for October 30 does not admit you on October 31.
